Raising Peaceful Children - Plan of Action (continued)
Wednesday's Plan of Action is below.
Before I write my usual blog I must share my process with you...and the parallels I see between writing these blogs.
Yesterday, I had actually begun my blog for today and was writing it as a continuation of the document I had used for yesterday's blog. After a couple of hours, I realized that I was using the wrong document.
from Kids for Peace
Some weeks ago when I was searching on the internet for sites on PEACE, I came across a wonderful site all about
KIDS FOR PEACE. www.kidsforpeaceglobal.org
The site is all about Uplifting Our World through LOVE and ACTION.
Today I spoke with Jill McManigal who began the project 7 years ago. I requested permission to share the Kids for Peace, PEACE PLEDGE, which is on her site.
While speaking with her she told me that her organization has been asked to share their PEACE PLEDGE at the United Nations in September of this year, in celebration of PEACE DAY on September 21.
IMAGES OF HAPPY AND PEACEFUL KIDS:
Pictures are so powerful. Today, my blog will honor the innate goodness and happiness of children, with images of HAPPY AND PEACEFUL CHILDREN! Each will have a quote for your consideration also.
Hop you Enjoy,
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget
that he is someone today.

If you want to be happy, be.
It is a happy talent to know how to play.
In the 1980’s I was working as the Children’s Director of Education at the West Valley Center for Spiritual Living in southern California. One of the books I purchased at that time and have used over the last 30 years is,Children As Teachers of PeaceBy Our Children, Edited by Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D. author of Love is Letting Go of Fear.
This book has children’s art work in it as well as their words about PEACE. In the editor's introduction they described the book as a joyous journey and inspired from the truth in the words: “Children as Teachers of Peace”.
