IMAGES OF HAPPY AND PEACEFUL KIDS:
Pictures are so powerful. Today, my blog will honor the innate goodness and happiness of children, with images of HAPPY AND PEACEFUL CHILDREN! Each will have a quote for your consideration also.
Hop you Enjoy,
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget
that he is someone today.
~ Stacia Tauscher
Children make your life important.

If you want to be happy, be.
It is a happy talent to know how to play.
As I post my daily blog, I always enjoy finding images which relate to the topic of the day. Often, I find them so uplifting and inspiring. So today, I'll be sharing mainly images and a quote or my thoughts regarding the picture.
Also, pictures are an excellent way of initialing a conversation with your children. Ask them what they are seeing in the picture. You can also explore their feelings that come up as they view the picture.

My thoughts are like the ripples in the ocean.
In the 1980’s I was working as the Children’s Director of Education at the West Valley Center for Spiritual Living in southern California. One of the books I purchased at that time and have used over the last 30 years is,Children As Teachers of PeaceBy Our Children, Edited by Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D. author of Love is Letting Go of Fear.
This book has children’s art work in it as well as their words about PEACE. In the editor's introduction they described the book as a joyous journey and inspired from the truth in the words: “Children as Teachers of Peace”.
Listening to Children…In Action!
As I mentioned yesterday in my blog, listening to children is so very important. As both parent and educator I’ve come to understand that listening to children is very essential for their well-being. It addition, it is FUN and very revealing. Listening plays a huge part in connectedness which research shows is the key to a happy childhood as well as a happy adulthood! Listening makes for a peaceful child and peaceful family.
When I was 18 years old, and a day camp counselor, one of the children in my group was with another counselor doing a craft project.
LISTENING 2 CHILDREN OF ALL AGES!
I’ve been writing the blog now for 16 days. Each day I want the content to be note-worthy, important to the reader! Daily I ponder “What should the focus be for my next blog”? Sometimes, the topic is obvious! Sometimes, it’s not! Ideas come and go! I continue my thought process. Daily, I want something NEW, something DIFFERENT, something to catch everyone’s attention. For Day 17 several subject entered my mind but no decision was made!
The reason I am blogging each day during July is because Lesa Townsend (www.conversation2sales.com) presented a 31 Day Challenge and invited folks to blog daily for 31 days. She sends a wonderful newsletter daily, with tips for Bloggers. I’ve found it very helpful, and yet I have much to learn about the social media side of writing a blog.
Two years ago I started my blog, but had not done much with it. So, I felt this 31 day challenge was a great opportunity. I must say that last week I found the word “challenge” very appropriate.
Focusing on “What is Right”!
Some years ago, I met a gentlemen who had initiated a program for Abundance and it was based on looking at “what is already right”, not focusing on the problem, or what is wrong. I was very curious about his approach and asked him more about it. He referred me to Kurt Wright’s work, and the book Breaking the Rules.
Kurt Wright, founder and President of Clear Purpose Management, Inc., has spent more than 20 years working with top business leaders and their organizations, all around the world, to support them in getting on a roll.
One of the best ways for a child to learn is by engaging in hands-on activities. So incorporating them into the teaching of VALUES is an excellent way to reinforce the message you are sending. This is true for the child you are working with whether it is your child or grandchild or if you are in a classroom situation. Since, as I have said before EACH person who interacts with a child can be instrumental in their life, you want to take advantage of every available technique to help him or her learn to lead a peaceful life.

RE: www.TheParenting Passageway.com
A passageway, as one would guess, is a conduit to the next thing: a way to allow movement from one place, condition or stage to the next. This blog is entitled “The Parenting Passageway” as it is intended to help support and encourage parents in peaceful parenting for our hectic world. Thank you for reading and many blessings to you.
Whenever you are attempting to help your children to align with the values you hold as a family, there will be special times when a value lesson can be taught from what is going on in the moment.
I’ve discovered through my years of parenting, teaching and consulting, that if you make a BIG DEAL about one or two situations, as they occur there is a huge impact in ALL behavior in the following days, months and even years. Sometimes, it may take many many“Teaching Moments”experiences to make an impact on a child, especially if they have very deficient behavior, which has been going on for some time.
